How to Survive Middle School and Monster Bots

Howard Boward is having a tough time in middle school.  Bullies are abundant and his own claim to fame is science and someone has even taken that away from him.  In a quest to be the best in science will he resist the temptation to make a unstable project that could potentially have dire circumstances?  In this book, How To Survive Middle School and Monster Bots by Ron Bates, science and robots are the main subject.  My 6 year old has started in enjoy chapter books that we read at bedtime.  This is definitely a story for an older child but the talk of robots intrigued my boy and he has been actively involved in story time.  It was an easy read, short chapters, and had a good message.  This is the second book that follows Howard Boward's adventures but even if you haven't read the first it stood alone well.
